EU competition law or, European Competition law, is made up of a body of laws or, as some people located within the United States knows it as “antitrust” laws. These bodies of laws fall under Mergers, Cartels, State aid and Monopolies and, are governed to prohibit unfair competition or, anti-competitive behavior and unfair business practices. Although market competition is encourages within the marketplace, there are regulations that still need to be exercised, in order to encourage a free market place for goods, services and people to enter with some sort of level playing field.
Within the European Union, there are independent states which, make some states free to support companies located anywhere on the globe but, allowing the European Commission the power to structure laws related to both international and domestic competition. Since 2004, the European Union has strengthen both is European law and court systems by increasing nationwide competition among all competitors.
