The concept of European Union social integration has to do with breaking down centuries old barriers between member countries in the European Union. Making European countries accept their fellow European members as equals without prejudice of ethnic, social or financial class. It is not really an attempt to enlarge the European continent whose borders have been geologically the same for eons, rather to change the European mindset from individual social distinctions of class and money in their individual countries to common shared bonds of equality with their fellow Europeans Union members who are to be seen as countrymen. The country being, of course, Europe as the United States is not seen as North America but the United States.
The committee in charge of fostering that change of mindset in the EU is The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. It operates as an independent group in the EU and is accountable to no other body. The purpose of the The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions is to create the future policies relating to social and work issues in the EU.
